Refund Policy
Chora is billed one of two ways, and you choose which at checkout: prepaid credits, which you spend only as you use the Service, or a subscription, a recurring plan billed in advance. This policy explains refunds and cancellation for both.
1. Unused credits
You can request a refund of unused credits within 14 days of purchase. We refund the unused balance to your original payment method via Stripe, less any amount already consumed.
2. Consumed usage
Credits already spent on delivered usage are generally non-refundable, because the Service has been provided. If something went wrong on our side — an outage, a billing error, a clear service defect — contact us and we will make it right, including re-crediting or refunding as appropriate.
3. Subscriptions: cancelling and refunds
You can cancel a subscription at any time, from your account or by emailing us. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your plan then runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep access until then.
- Because the period is paid in advance and the Service is delivered across it, part-periods are not pro-rated as a matter of course.
- If you cancel within 14 days of a first subscription purchase and have made no meaningful use of the plan during that period, we will refund it in full.
- If a renewal charge caught you by surprise — you had not used the Service in that period and tell us promptly — contact us. We would rather refund it than keep money you did not mean to spend.
- Where an outage, billing error, or clear service defect on our side spoiled a period you paid for, we refund or credit it.
4. EU right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts, and it applies to both credit purchases and subscriptions.
Chora is a digital service. Because it can begin straight away, at checkout we ask you to expressly request that performance start during the withdrawal period, and to acknowledge that once we have fully performed the contract you lose the right to withdraw from it.
If you withdraw before that point, you pay only a proportionate amount for what we actually delivered up to then — calculated against the total price you agreed — and we refund the rest. Where this gives you more than sections 1 to 3 above, this section prevails: as a consumer inside your 14 days you do not have to show that credits went unused, or that a subscription went unused, to get the balance back. Your mandatory consumer rights are not affected by anything in this policy.
5. How to request a refund
Email harri@sarsa.art from your account address with your account details and what you'd like refunded. We aim to respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method; timing depends on Stripe and your bank.
6. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first — we can usually resolve it faster than a chargeback.
